On average, Fortnite matches last for 20 minutes. Occasionally, some limited time game modes might take so much less than that. If your aim is to play Fortnite during your work/school breaks we highly recommend you play the game either on Nintendo Switch or iOS/Android. Although the Android version kinda sucks right now we are expecting for the future updates on it to make it healthier.
If you are able to run the game on a notebook/netbook, it’s even better but finding a spot to set your gaming gear might be hard in most public places. Also, with the rotation of limited time game modes, if Blitz LTM is available then your matches will end quicker. Blitz is a faster version of Fortnite Battle Royale. Each match in the game mode begins with the storm moving towards the island and the time between each circle is shorter than normal. These features create matches that are 10 to 15 minutes long. Compared to the normal matches in Fortnite, Blitz game mode has changes like,
- Increased chances of treasure chests spawn from 50-70% to 80-90% and ammo boxes spawn from 65-80% to 85-95%.
- Reduced the empty floor loot spawn chance from 21.5% to 3.50%
- Resource harvesting amounts increased by 50%.
- Increased the number of llamas spawned by 4x, spawn rate, the descent speed of Supply Drops and materials found on the ground from 20 to 60 per instance.
We expect to see Blitz soon after the start of Season 9 as it will be a long time since the last time it was available to play. Epic has the tendency to put out the popular game modes rarely as it moves people away from the original battle royale experience.
