Epic Games and Samsung‘s partnership seems to continue after the exclusive release of Fortnite mobile on Android devices. Before coming out on Android devices, Epic Games announced only compatible Samsung devices could play Fortnite Mobile for a short period of time on. Their partnership didn’t stop there. Epic now announced that there will be an upcoming mobile event featuring popular Twitch streamer Ninja and K-POP sensation iKON. This tournament will be sponsored by Samsung aiming to promote its new Galaxy S10 phones. The very first and biggest mobile tournament of Fortnite Battle Royale will take place in New York City on March 16th. Doors open for the event beginning at 12 PM and run until 8.

Ninja spoke to his viewers on Twitch that Epic was going to make a map exclusively for this event and everybody was so hyped since it could mean a new map for the game but it was only available to play in the tournament, not even available on the mobile device. After this Samsung made an announcement about the tournament saying, ”Guests will compete in a mobile Fortnite tournament on the Galaxy S10+ throughout the day for a chance to play on stage with Twitch streamer Ninja and members of iKON. The top 12 players from the day will be announced at 5 pm and a live leaderboard will be displayed to track real-time results. The finals match will be played on a first-of-its-kind Creative island.”

Just to state the obvious there is no new map coming to Fortnite. It will only be available for the event. There is no information about this secret map and we don’t know how it’s going to be. I guess everyone has to wait for the tournament to see this new ”first-of-its-kind creative island”
