Fortnite Steam

Steam is the biggest videogame distribution and publishing platform for PC games. It’s owned and operated by Valve Corporation, which is owned by the CEO Gabe Newell. You might know Valve Corp. for releasing such popular games back in the days like Counter-Strike sequel, Half-Life, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead and many more. Although it is one of the most popular publishers of videogames on PC platforms, Fortnite is not distributed by Steam.

Epic Games uses its own client launcher to download and play Fortnite. It is unlikely that Fortnite will be available on Steam any time soon. Since Epic is trying to establish direct contact with the customers, Fortnite will always be outside of any digital platform other than Epic’s own. But if your aim is to reach Fortnite via Steam, just like all your other Steam games, there is a way for you to do that. Steam allows other programs to be featured in your library for quick access. All you have to do is go to your Game Library. Click on Add a Non-Steam Game, browse and find Fortnite Battle Royale, then put a check next to it and click Add.

This feature comes in handy when you don’t want to leave outside of Steam as it provides everything you need. Text between players, voicechat, forums, etc. makes a lot of sense not to leave Steam if you are a hardcore PC gamer. You can also add other programs other than videogames on Steam for quick access in your Game Library.

So far Fortnite is not available on Steam and it looks like it’s never going to be. You can download both Steam and Fortnite from the links below.
