Winter Royale 2018

E-Sports, News / Friday, January 18th, 2019

Winter Royale 2018 is an online solo event organized by Epic Games. We know Epic for its massive prize pools and for this event Epic spared $1 million. The open qualifiers happened on two days, November 24 and 25. There were three qualifying sessions each day and top 200 of them were going to advance to the Finals which took place on November 30 and December 1. Prize pool split among two major servers, Europe and North America.

Point system of the tournament was put simply. Victory Royale granted 3 points, 2nd and 3rd place 2, 4th and 10th place 1 point. However unlike other tournaments this time there was a bonus for the eliminations. If a player managed to get more than 7, each elimination after that would grant them an extra one. Between 3 and 4 eliminations granted 1, 5 to 6 granted 2 and 7 granted them 3 points. For example, if a player managed to get 8 eliminations, they would get 4 points instead of 3.

$500.000 prize pool spread among all players who took part in the tournament. Here is the list of rewards depending on the placement.
